The story of SUNS begins in a family of pioneers in the garden furniture industry. Back in the 1980s, the van Rhienen family revolutionized the first all-plastic garden chair, setting a new standard in functionality and ease of use. These innovations made them leaders in the industry and laid the foundation for a tradition of progressive thinking.

In 2009, SUNS was founded as Sunsit, originally focused on developing private label collections for leading garden furniture chains.

In 2016, SUNS impressed at the SPOGA trade fair in Cologne with striking design and high-quality materials such as wicker, aluminum and teak. This success set the tone for further growth.

In 2018, SUNS expanded into a broader lifestyle brand. The brand began collaborations with influencers and introduced the YOU CREATE collection, which allowed customers to customize their own furniture.

In 2020, SUNS transformed into a full-fledged outdoor lifestyle brand, with an assortment that went beyond garden furniture. It now included accessories such as lamps, rugs and vases, all designed for indoor and outdoor use. This broadening reflected our ambition to provide not just functional products, but complete outdoor experiences.
